As one of the founding partners of Maurice Wood, Brittany Wood is a highly experienced attorney, with more than 20 years practicing in commercial litigation, with an emphasis in real estate, and title litigation. Brittany has also litigated state and federal excise and use tax cases, and defended clients in professional malpractice, and catastrophic personal injury actions. In addition to her years of experience in commercial litigation, Brittany has extensive knowledge of the construction industry, having spent several years of her practice working in-house for a local contractor. She is one of the foremost experts in Nevada’s Prevailing Wage Laws. Brittany is also well versed in business planning, having formed and operated a successful business with her husband, Bill, before founding Maurice Wood.
Brittany handles litigation matters in all state and federal courts in Nevada, as well as disputes subject to mandatory and contractual arbitration and regularly represents clients in hearings before various Nevada administrative boards.
Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending time with her family learning about the culture and cooking from new countries every month, attending Broadway shows at the Smith Center, volunteering at Three Square, hiking, reading, and following the University of Montana Grizzlies, the Las Vegas Golden Knights, and the Las Vegas Raiders.
